Oakmont Christmas ParadeNovember 2010At the Oakmont Christmas ParadeOakmont websiteThe Oakmont Christmas parade is more than a parade it really was a celebration! If you would like a fun night out with your family this is a great place to go. It is easy to get to, has many inexpensive activities, and lots of fun things to do and see! The festivities start at 5pm with the parade. I loved how Santa Claus made a grand entrance in the fire truck with the sirens and lights! Getting to Oakmont and around the festivities was no problem at all. Oakmont is located right across the Hulton Bridge and is very close to the turnpike or route 28. Plan on doing some walking while you are there. There are many stops to make up and down Allegheny River Boulevard: cookies, Santa, carriage rides, and the tree lighting to name a few! Of course, don't forget to stop at the famous Oakmont Bakery while you are there. They always have lots and lots of wonderful treats for everyone! |
